Aquascape to Open Water Gardening Retail Center

AquaGardens, the display garden for Aquascape Inc.'s new Aquascape Water Gardening Store in St. Charles, Ill. | Aquascape Inc. will open a new water gardening retail center on April 18 at Aqualand, the company’s corporate headquarters in St. Charles, Ill. The Aquascape Water Gardening Store will provide interactive water feature displays aimed at helping customers envision and plan water features in their own landscapes.
It also will display Pondless Waterfalls, ecosystem ponds, fountainscapes and rainwater harvesting systems. For instance, the company constructed a replication of a home’s façade inside the store to demonstrate Aquascape’s new RainXchange System, a rainwater harvesting system paired with a decorative water feature.
“The store provides a critical research and development opportunity for Aquascape,” said Gary Wittstock, store manager and father of Greg Wittstock, Aquascape's founder and chief executive officer. “Aquascape’s construction division provides field R&D for our contractor-grade products. Now we can better identify consumers’ needs at the retail level, and this will help us to offer top-quality water feature products for the retail market.”
The store carries everything needed to install and maintain a water feature, according to the company. The items include pond supplies, water gardening books, aquatic plants and live fish.
The company encourages pond installers to bring their clients to view the water feature displays in the outdoor AquaGardens to help with design and inspiration. A design center is located in the store.
