Ornamental Fish International, a trade association representing the ornamental aquatic industry, plans to officially launch the fourth title in OFI's educational book series at this year’s Aquarama trade show. "Biosecurity in the Ornamental Aquatic Industry" -- written by Alex Ploeg, Gerald Bassleer and Roberto Hensen -- covers the characteristics of disease-causing agents as well as various biosecurity risks and ways to approach the risks.
The 148-page book will be available at Aquarama, an international ornamental fish and accessories exhibition scheduled for May 28-31 in Suntec, Singapore. "Biosecurity in the Ornamental Aquatic Industry" also can be purchased now on OFI's website, www.ofish.org.
OFI started publishing educational books in 2006. Other titles in the series include "Water Quality in the Ornamental Aquatic Industry;" "International Transport of Live Fish in the Ornamental Aquatic Industry" and "Live Food Cultures for the Ornamental Aquatic Industry."
