Beverly Hills Bash to Promote Green Landscapes

The CLCA Green Expo will feature an exhibit area with product vendors, landscape planting demonstrations and the Green Image Awards. The Green Image Awards will be given to celebrities to heighten awareness of sustainable landscaping.

Expected award recipients include singer Sheryl Crow and actor Bryan Cranston, perhaps best known as the father on sitcom “Malcolm in the Middle.” The chapter meeting itself was held at the Redondo Beach, Calif., home of pond builder Mike Garcia. The CLCA chapter's meeting featured demonstrations of Oase fountain technology. Representatives from solar and wind power companies, landscape lighting companies and artificial turf companies also attended the event.

Garcia’s back yard features several water features equipped with Oase technology, including a swim pond and a koi pond. Oase North America of Corona, Calif., sponsored the carne asada dinner, grilled by Garcia.
