Hardscape Project Awards Recognizes Contractors

Poul’s Landscaping and Nursery in Long Grove, Ill., received recognition for its work at the Kildeer residence. | The 2nd Annual Hardscape North America Hardscape Project Awards brought in more than 135 entries. Launched by Interlocking Concrete Pavement Institute, Brick Industry Association and National Concrete Masonry Association, the awards recognize outstanding hardscape projects by contractors in residential and commercial/industrial applications. The projects include walkways, patios, driveways, plazas and parking lots.
The associations recognized award winners in January during the Hardscape North America trade show in Atlanta, Ga. The residential awards acknowledged outstanding residential projects in clay brick, concrete paver, segmental retaining wall and a combination of all hardscape products in projects under 1,000 square feet; 1,000 to 5,000 square feet; and more than 5,000 square feet. Among the winners:
Combination Under 1,000 square feet: Poul’s Landscaping and Nursery Inc. in Long Grove, Ill., for its work at the Kildeer residence. 1,000 to 5,000 square feet (tie): Impact Landscaping in Norton, Ohio, for its work at the Toth residence and Tinberg Turf in Bonner Springs, Kan., for its work at the Wengert residence. More than 5,000 square feet: Wallace Custom Hardscapes in Pensacola, Fla., for its work at the Tolan residence.
Concrete Paver Under 1,000 square feet: Harmony Hill Landscaping Inc. in Fishkill, N.Y., for its work at the Zakow residence. 1,000 to 5,000 square feet: Landis Construction in Lebanon, Pa., for its work at the Hanley residence. More than 5,000 square feet: The Deck and Patio Co. in Huntington Station, N.Y., for its work at the Gaudio residence.
