Pondapalooza Postponed

Pondapalooza, scheduled to take place Aug. 23-26 in Portland, Ore., has been postponed. Roseanne Conrad of Garden Pond Promotions Inc. cited health issues as the reason.

“I am heartsick to have to tell you that I have to postpone Pondapalooza for this summer and reorganize it for next year,” Conrad wrote in an e-mail to exhibitors on July 6. “I am very sorry as I know you were looking forward to it. After much thought, prayer and meditation I have come to realize it is all that I can do at this time. After 15 years of holding an annual event for the water gardening industry, this is devastating to me.”

Conrad said she underwent invasive abdominal surgery in early June, which resulted in a longer and harder recovery period than expected. Dates for the 2010 event were not announced.
