| Rick Bartel of Savio Water Feature Insititute plans to lead a pondless water feature construction class to kick off the Water Garden Expo in February. |
 | Water Garden Expo 2010, Growing Your Business in Tough Economic Times, is scheduled for Feb. 11-12 in Shawnee, Okla. This marks the first year that the Water Garden Expo will be held at the Heart of Oklahoma Exposition Center, according to Pondliner.com, which moved the Water Garden Expo from its Shawnee facility to the exposition center to accommodate the growing number of attendees.
Rick Bartel of the Savio Water Feature Institute will kick off the Water Garden Expo with a hands-on, indoor, pond-free waterfall construction class with emphasis on the RISE method. RISE stands for Random, Irregular, Spontaneous, Erratic — a natural rock and boulder placement technique.
The second day will include seminars with three educational tracts: water feature construction, successful business practices and general water garden knowledge. The Water Garden Expo also will include a mini tradeshow and a roundtable discussion.
Admission to the Water Garden Expo 2010 is free, but limited to water garden contractors and dealers. To view a detailed schedule, visit Pondliner.com. The Water Garden Expo requires advanced registration available online or by calling 866-219-3561.
