NAPP Plans Board Election

The National Association of Pond Professionals, headquartered in Epworth, Ga., plans to hold elections for three new directors to its board sometime this summer, according to NAPP president Mark Krupka.
The elections will fill seats vacated by Mike Gilliland of Little Giant, Mark Munley of Firestone Specialty Products, and Eric Reinhard of Doctors Foster and Smith. All three submitted their resignations for either personal and/or professional reasons.
Candidates for the vacant positions are John Goers, vice president of Firestone Specialty Products; Andy Lightfoot, owner/operator of AJL Endeavors; Bill Minnich, president of Danner Pumps; Sean Murphy, national sales manager of Little Giant; and Kip Northrup, owner of Blue Thumb Distributing and Pond Builder Inc. Write-in candidates will also be accepted, Krupka said.
In other news, NAPP reported that several members joined since February, including Simon Seah, Terracraft Landscape Ltd., Pondscapes Atlanta, Artistic Eye Landscape Design, Rivers Associates, Water Garden Consultants Unlimited and Wyld Creek Inc. Members renewing their memberships include AJL, Ani Mate, Aquarius Supply, Atlantic Water Gardens, Bratt Water Features Inc., Devore’s Landscape Service, Down to Earth Landscape Designs, Ecological Laboratories, Harmony Ponds Inc., Natural Water Gardens Inc., Outdoor Inc., Pond Builder, South Pleasantburg Nursery Inc., Southern Water Gardens Inc., Tilley’s Nursery Inc./The Water Works, The Water Garden, Waterfalls and More, Unit Liner Co./Pond Pro Shop, and Van Isle Water Gardens.
