For the sixth consecutive year, a team of Aquascape Inc. employees and Certified Aquascape Contractors will travel to Walt Disney World in Orlando, Fla., to build water feature displays for the Epcot International Flower and Garden Show, March 19-June 1. The group plans to build six features, with a focus on sustainability.
“We’re excited to showcase the future of water gardening,” said Ed Beaulieu, vice president of field research at Aquascape. “We will demonstrate how we can be more responsible to the environment by addressing water conservation.”
This year’s features include a rainwater harvesting system, an 11-foot-by-16-foot ecosystem pond, decorative AquaBasin fountains and an indoor feature in the Garden Festival Center, the company reported.
Certified contactors expected to participate in the pond-builds include Aquatic Paradise (Highland, Calif.), Atlantis Water Gardens (Rockaway, N.J.), Carter’s Nursery (Jackson, Tenn.), Chris’ Water Gardens (Homer, Ill.), Earth Energy Landscaping (Menlo Park, Calif.), Glencar Water Gardens & Lighting (Hopewell Junction, N.J.), Landscape Basics (Wesley Chapel, Fla.), Liquid Designz (Township of Washington, N.J.), Nature Coast Aquascape (Floral City, Fla.), Paradise Ponds and Waterfalls (San Angelo, Texas), Pond Crew (Katy, Texas), Pond Pros (Pompano Beach, Fla.), Pondscapes of Charlotte (Matthews, N.C.), Pondtastic Water Gardens (Kissimmee, Fla.), Tranquil Waterscape Designs (Franklin, Tenn.) and WaterScape Designs (Forestville, Wis.).
