PIDA Elects Officers at Annual Meeting
Pet Industry Distributors Association elected its 2008 officers and directors during its 40th Management Conference & Annual Meeting last month in San Antonio, Texas.

| Pet Industry Distributors Association elected its 2008 officers and directors during its 40th Management Conference & Annual Meeting last month in San Antonio, Texas. Bob Merar, president of General Pet Supply in Milwaukee, Wis., was elected chairman. A board member since 2002, Merar chaired the education and program committee, which plans the annual conference, for several years.
Other officers elected are first vice chairman Roger Johannigman of Loveland Pet Products in Mason, Ohio; second vice chairman Fred Schober of Super Dog Pet Food in Leola, Pa.; and secretary/treasurer Rob Chouinard of Gardner Distributing Co. in Billings, Mont.
Immediate past chairman Donald Fleming of Quality Pets Inc. of Oklahoma City, Okla., remains on the board. The group also elected Danny Selman of Lone Star Pet Supply to a three-year term on the board of directors.
