(Courtesy of the International Professional Pond Companies Association) | The International Professional Pond Companies Association will put on its annual Ponditat For Humanity project on Nov. 2-4. This year's recipient is the PossAbilities Physical Rehab facility in Loma Linda, California.
Ponditat For Humanity project recipients receive a pond free of charge. The IPPCA selects worthy causes for the pond and labor donations. The list of pond builders who participate in Ponditat For Humanity projects reads like a “Who’s Who” list of the pond world.
The nation's top pond builders unite for three days to make these Ponditat For Humanity miracle happen. This three-day project will pull together the pond world where we set aside our differences for a higher good.
Why do these pond builders and organizations particpate in Ponditat For Humanity? Why do pond builders take time out of their busy schedules, pay out-of-pocket for airfare and lodging and donate their time and labor? They do it to make a difference. Making a difference is the juice of life, and true strength of character shows when altruism takes over.
It is noteworthy that the local news media expressed interest in this Ponditat For Humanity project, because this promotes the pond world and helps leave a good impression that pond building is not a fly-by-night fancy. Pond building is an honorable profession made up of many men and women who are all heart.
We all can be proud that there are many pond product manufacturers and pond builders who go the extra mile. I salute these “Top Guns” of the pond world. The networking these pond builders and manufacturers do is invaluable.
