Halogen pros:
- It offers a bright light at a lower initial cost.
- It can run on low voltage.
Halogen cons:
- It needs more frequent bulb changes.
- It costs more than LEDs do to operate.
LED pros:
- The bulb might last longer, meaning less frequent in-pond light bulb changes.
- It can run on low voltage.
- It costs less than a halogen does to operate.
